Julius M. Pfadt

Hello.

I am a postdoctoral researcher currently working on Bayesian model averaging for structural equation models alongside Eric-Jan Wagenmakers at the University of Amsterdam. The position is funded by a Walter-Benjamin-Fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG).

My professional interest lies with statistical modeling: in particular, developing methods to help researchers learn about unobservable patterns in their data. These methods are ideally, but not exclusively, Bayesian. In my published work, I have mainly focused on psychometrics, particularly reliability estimation and structural equation modeling.

I strongly believe that science should be accessible to everyone. To that end, I strive to publish open-access content whenever possible, and I ensure that the methods I develop are implemented in free and open-source software platforms, such as R and JASP.

Sometime in the future, this site may also contain some of my non-work related adventures. We'll see.
